Summer Leadership 2025

As schools face continued budget constraints, school leaders must adapt by making intentional, strategic decisions to ensure the success of both students and staff. This session is designed to help campus leaders navigate budget cuts while maintaining and optimizing key campus systems such as the master schedule, team collaboration, and more. Participants will learn how to prioritize resources, streamline processes, and foster collaboration across teams to drive efficiency and maintain high levels of collaboration.

The Behavior MegaLab Training is designed teach and/or remind educators about both critical concepts and some best practices that together are essential for responding to and preventing challenging behavior and for creating and maintaining a successful learning environment in their classrooms. This session will unveil to campus administrators the learning teachers receive during Behavior Mega Labs.

As a campus leader, you are the decision-maker in creating a safe and supportive school environment. But when allegations of bullying arise, do you have the confidence and clarity to make the right call? In this session, administrators will sharpen their investigative skills and learn how to efficiently and effectively determine whether an incident meets the definition of bullying. The story of game planning for transformational change.

This training takes a deeper look at the why behind student behavior by connecting it to brain development. We’ll explore how neurodiversity, disabilities, and development shape the way students act and react in school. This training will explore the behaviors we see every day, as well as how to support staff in responding, creating interventions aligned with behavior, and skill-building strategies that work for diverse learners.

Mandatory Session for Budget Managers. This session repeats.

iReady trainers will lead this session for campus administrators. The session will focuse on using the end of year diagnostic to plan for the beginning of the school year. Leaders will learn the top teacher and leader actions for successful utilization of this resource.

This session is for all campus leaders new to their role, including new principals, assistant principals, administrative interns, etc. Attendees will receive information about the support networks and resources that Denton ISD provides to help ensure success.

This session is for Legendary Leaders who want to strategically implement AI for transformational leadership. Administrators will explore how AI can streamline decision-making, enhance instructional leadership, and optimize school operations in ways that drive meaningful, data-driven change.

Overview of Financial Operations Practice and Procedures

This session will provide an update on the Denton ISD process for Threat Assessments. This session repeats.

This session will provide an overview of the Denton ISD Instructional Framework and the impact this framework has on day to day instruction in classrooms across the district.

Planning and implementing structured, data-driven PLCs is essential for campus success. This session will discuss the importance of data in vertical transitions as well as how to encourage teams to use data to inform instructional practices. This session repeats.

This session is designed to deepen elementary principals’ understanding of the four Research-Based Instructional Strategies (RBIS) for Language Arts: Foundational Skills, Text Complexity, Knowledge Coherence, and Text-Based Responses. Participants will examine each strategy, explore what effective implementation looks like in classrooms, and discuss key look-fors during instructional walkthroughs and observations.

This session will provide assistant principals with tips on how to manage TDPS that will make truancy prevention measures more manageable.

This session is required for all TIA campus administrators. Administrators who are employed at a campus that is not a TIA campus are invited to attend the General TIA Information Session.
